ABOUT DESALWORKS

Our aim is to see more Marine Water Makers receive an annual service, have less critical breakdowns, while educating boat owners about their system with the do’s, the don’ts,  and the why’s of marine water makers.

Founded by Anthony Unmack, Desalworks aims to educate boat owners about the best practice methods to ensure their water makers have a long service life, with minimal failures or critical breakdowns. With a long family background in boating, it's likely you have seen us around Perth Yacht Clubs or out on the water. We're experienced on boats ranging from 20ft trailer sailers through to multi-million dollar leisure and commercial fishing vessels.

Marine Water Makers are typically very reliable units, however they are often the least serviced piece of equipment on a boat. They are also a piece of equipment that can quickly end your boating plans if they are not working, or fail while out on a trip. We see a lot of experienced boaties who understand how they work, but still know little about them particularly when it comes to troubleshooting issues, servicing, or making repairs.
We have seen our fair share of Marine Water Makers, from small capacity owner installed systems, through to large scale imported European systems on vessels 80ft and above. No system is too small, or too complex, and we will have all systems producing a consistent flow of crystal clear drinking water by the time we leave your boat.
